Kevin
left school aged 18 excellent grades which allowed
him to go Cardiff to study Theatre for 3 years.
In 1977 he began working for The Royal Shakespeare
company in London, building sets and running shows.
After a year he left London to work in the Victoria
Theatre, Stoke on Trent for three years as a set
and prop maker. In 1981 Kevin came back to London
to study Fine Woodworking and Cabinet Making at
The London School of Furniture. In 1983 he worked
for two years as a freelance Set and Prop maker
for the Film, Video, Exhibition and Theatre Industry.
In 1985 Kevin joined Kimpton Walker on Pay Roll
as a Scenic Carpenter and Prop Maker and by 1986
he had taken over the management of Kimpton Walkers
Prop Department, expanding the facility to a staff
of up to twenty people. In 1991 Kevin joined Michael
Whiteley Associates, a specialist commercial studio
in Sculpture, Prop and Model Making as a manager
and returned to Kimpton Walker again as Props
Department Manager until August 2002.
In 2003 Kevin joined with Michael to form Artisan
2003.
